Destination wedding in Korcula town in hotel the Fabris

Charming Korcula island should be on your visit list when coming to Croatia. With its very well preserved walled old town, authentic streets,  little squares and numerous pristine beaches it can be easily called as one of the best wedding destinations in Croatia! Did I mention food? Local cuisine is so delicious here!

Mirjana and Roby came from Ireland to get married in Korcula. It was an obvious choice to make since both of them were born on this amazing island.  A gang of their friends has came all the way from Ireland to witness and celebrate this special day.

When the day of this wedding was approaching, the weather app persistently showed "nevera" ( a combo of lighting, thunder, heavy rain and gusts of wind typical for September). No bride or groom wants to have that weather on their wedding. That put Mirjana & Roby under a lot of pressure to make final changes to the wedding day.

Despite a big possibility of nevera in Korcula, that Saturday was calm and sunny.

Bride and groom chose one of the most luxurious hotels in town, The Fabris Inn to spend their morning getting ready with the best man and bridesmaid. Groom has chosen a stylish total black look wearing a Boss suit. The bride has picked a gorgeous column wedding dress with a slit in the middle and an open back adorn with delicate embroidery. They have custom ordered a tie clip and a bracelet made of a Korcula stone.

Wedding reception in Konoba Maha, Korcula

Just 7 kms from Korcula Old town a hidden gem can be found.  Tucked away inside a forest, Konoba Maha can be easily missed when you are driving on the main Korcula road. And that's what actually happened to us when we were trying to reach it :-) But after taking a U-turn, a paradise was quickly found!

Konoba Maha was a perfect choice to celebrate love with friends and family in a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Konoba Maha  serves local authentic cuisine like cheese, prosciutto, veggies, lamb, grilled meat topped with original cocktails and house wine. This place is a must stop for the rich and famous on their summer trip around Croatia.

This night guests were treated not only with the top-notch meals and drinks but with excellent music. The music duo AnnaxAOB skillfully combined DJ tracks and violin playing. Mirjana and Roby heard this band at an event in Korcula and at that moment Mirjana knew who would entertain her wedding guests. AnnaXAOB created a marvellous atmosphere that night in Maha. Guests were cheerful keeping the dance floor packed. Every time I looked at the bride she was dancing. I hope she gotta try that delicious food that Konoba Maha has prepared.

What a night!
